Do we need Brand Strategy before starting a website?

Not always, but it helps a great deal. A website built on a solid brand foundation is more consistent, more convincing, and faster to design because the big decisions are already made. We run brand and web engagements in parallel all the time, and we'll tell you upfront which approach makes the most sense for your situation.

We already have a logo. Do we need a full brand identity?

It depends on what you have and how well it's working. Sometimes a logo just needs refinement or a proper system built around it, and sometimes it needs to be replaced entirely. We'll assess what you have honestly and recommend a scope that makes sense. We're not interested in selling you a rebrand you don't need.

What's the difference between Brand Identity and Brand Messaging?

Brand Identity is the visual layer: logo, colors, typography, and visual system. Brand Messaging is the verbal layer: voice, tone, taglines, and how you talk about yourself. Both are part of a complete brand, and they work best when developed together or in close sequence.

Do you handle brand naming?

Yes, when it's needed. Naming is scoped as part of a brand identity engagement, where we develop concepts, screen for availability, and present directions with rationale. If you need a name before anything else can move forward, we can start there.

What do we get at the end of a brand engagement?

At minimum, a complete brand identity system, a brand guidelines document, and all source files in the formats you need. Depending on scope, that also includes messaging frameworks, collateral assets, and a digital brand guide. Everything you need to deploy and maintain the brand consistently.

How long does a brand engagement take?

A focused brand identity engagement typically runs four to eight weeks from kickoff to final delivery, depending on scope and how quickly feedback comes back. Full brand strategy engagements that include messaging and collateral run longer. We'll scope timelines clearly before we start.
